Frequently Asked Questions

1.    How to find assets and use filters?

  • You can use the search bar to search by file name or part of a file name.
  • To add a filter, click the box next to it, to remove individual selected filters, uncheck the box next to it.
  • To remove all selected filters at once, click ‘Reset’.
  • You can use the filters to narrow down which assets are visible, the filters run off the tags that have been applied to each asset. Be aware that the filter list does NOT remove unapplied tags as you filter, i.e. if you select ‘F170’ in the ‘Function’ section, ‘Handlesets’ will still be visible in the ‘Category’ section even though no F170 would have that tag.

2.    How to download?

  • To download a single asset just click on ‘download’.
  • To download multiple assets at once, click the ‘add to cart’ option. Once all assets have been added, click on the cart icon in the upper right and then ‘download’.

3.    How does the cart work?

  • The cart is handy for holding multiple assets that you can then download all at once.
  • If you need to remove an asset that is no longer needed, click on the cart icon in the upper right and then scroll to the asset and click remove. You can also empty the entire cart at once by clicking ‘clear cart’.
  • The removal options cannot be undone but you add re-add the asset if needed.

4.    Is Asset Share Commons password protected or otherwise blocked from the general public?

  • No. Anyone with the Asset Share Commons link will be able to view the site, be mindful of sharing.

5.    Are all assets in AEM visible in Asset Share Commons?

  • All assets which are ready for public viewing and utilization are available. However, if you are looking for specific assets which are not currently included please reach out to Allegion Home Creative Services for additional assistance.
